This post describes the use, editing and deletion of ‘Vertex Text’
Vertex Text
- is text that is associated with a vertex (or point)
- if the vertex moves the text moves with it
- is typically used by Surveyors to add information about a point
- can be imported with Genio data – and usually needs to be removed.

Removing Vertex Text
You can either Remove the text, or Keep the text but set it so that it does not display.
Use Utilities => Super Strings => Text
Choose the Data to change. In this example the data is in one model.
Set the Vertex text action to ‘Clear’
This will permanently remove the Vertex text
Set the Target to ‘Replace existing data’
Press ‘Change’
Set the Vertex text annotation Action to ‘Clear’
This will keep the Vertex text, but will stop it being displayed (or printed)
You won’t lose the information, and the text can be turned back on if you need to display it
Set the Target to ‘Replace existing data’
Press ‘Change’
