This option is used to find the lines of intersection between two tins in the project.

To view the Tin Tin Intersection Panel, Use: Tins => Tin Analysis => Intersection
Example 1
In this example the intersection between the survey tin and Design Pad tin will be calculated.
Pick the <Original Tin> button and select the tin required.
Pick the <New Tin> button and select the tin required.
Either type in a new model name or pick the <Model> button and select a model from the drop down list for the Intersection strings to be saved into.
Pick the <Colour> button select a colour from the drop down list.
Hit the <Calculate> button to create the intersection strings where the two tins intersect with each other.
Turn on the model to see that the intersection strings have been created – even check them out with the String inquire option.
Example 2
In this example the intersection between the survey tin and Stage 2 Roads tin will be calculated.
Pick the <Original Tin> button and select the tin required.
Pick the <New Tin> button and select the tin required.
Either type in a new model name or pick the <Model> button and select a model from the drop down list for the Intersection strings to be saved into.
Pick the <Colour> button select a colour from the drop down list.
Hit the <Calculate> button to create the intersection strings where the two tins intersect with each other.
Turn on the model to see that the intersection strings have been created – even check them out with the String inquire option.
In this example the two tins intersect around the batter string of the Stage 2 Roads tin, as the batters have been created to the survey tin.
