This option can be used in many ways to create a crossfall envelope. This is very handy to identify as the minimum or maximum x-fall values to design between to maintain a known/desired standard.
Cross Section strings and a tin surface can be generated to a viewed (profiled) in section. These can provide a guide to maintain a specific design standard.
Existing crossfall values can also be extended or if your Super Alignment has been designed using the “speed tables”, these values can also be projected to create a design plane for working.
An additional benefit of this option is the “Reference” string does not need to be a Super Alignment, so construction strings can also be used to generate the design envelope.

Position of option on menu: Design => Roads => More => Road widening
Provide a function name and select the “Reference” string to have the other fields automatically populated.
