This option is used to read in cross section data from a file and convert it to x-section strings.
The panel provides multiple options for how the data (text file) can be provided. We suggest having a read of the 12d Reference Manual, as examples for the various formats are provided and will help you determine which is the best format to select for your data.
After your data is read and a model of X-Sections created you might like to use the “Strings from Sections” option. This will look at your new model of cross sections and if similar codes have been used over multiple cross sections. The individual vertices at the cross sections will be linked longitudinally based on the codes provided and provide you with strings.
