12d Model is installed with a number of Base Components that can be used to create new components or placed directly into your project for editing and matching your requirements.
Once a Component is placed, further edits can be undertaken and as the strings are all produced via a Function the edits are displayed and updated as you change the various settings.
The produced Computated Super Alignment strings (Element Method Design), provide your required geometry. These strings can be further edited outside the component to be tailored to each specific existing site setup. The most common error is regarding the length of the approach and departure strings. Not having strings long enough for the intersection geometry to be created will certainly lead to error messages and possibly no component object being displayed.
Please watch the following Webinar on the Components for additional tips & tricks on Components. You will defiantly never draw them manually again. Thank you 12d Programmers!
