This tool is used to create a CAD Point by an Intersection, of 2 Points and 2 Distances.
The video below will show how to create a CAD Intersection of 2 Points and 2 Distances.
Or continue down the page to see the CAD Intersection 2 Points and 2 Distances create options.
This CAD Intersect 2 Points and 2 Distances option is found on the CAD Intersection Toolbar, and is the 4th option when the toolbar files out.
Or from the menu, Use: CAD => Intersection => 2 Points and 2 Distances
CAD Control Bar Options
The Point is created and placed using the details from the CAD Control Bar, these include,
String Name, Model, Colour, Z – Value, Linestyle, Weight and Tinable.

Example 1
To create a point at the intersection of 2 Points and 2 Distances, initially pick and accept the first point for the first distance to start from.
If you know the distance to enter, then hit the <spacebar> on the keyboard.
If you would like to use the dynamic distance from the cursor position, then hit the <d> on the keyboard.
Type in the distance 27.5, hit the <Enter> key to confirm and the distance will be locked in from the first point.
Pick and accept the second point. As the cursor is moved away from the second point the proposed intersection point is displayed on the screen. To type in a known distance hit the <spacebar> key to enter it, and hit <Enter> to confirm it.
Use a String Inquire to check the details of the new point.
Note: Turn the model onto the screen if the point is not shown.
Note: If a second point is to be created the option is still active in the project until another option is selected, or it is cancelled. The user can select the next start position and use the option again.
Measure Option
Use the Measure Bearing/Distance option to check the newly created point.

Example 2
Firstly select the first point for the first distance to start from.
If you know the distance to enter, then hit the <spacebar> on the keyboard, here we have used 5 meters. Hit the <Enter> key to confirm the distance.
As shown below as the cursor is moved around that there can often be move than one result calculated. Below a cursor location was picked from the screen for the new point, however if a known distance is to be entered, then place the cursor on the side where the point is to be created and then type it in and hit <Enter> to confirm it.
Use a String Inquire to check the details of the new point.
