What is Drawing Density?
Drawing Density in 12d Model helps manage how data like point strings, line strings, and other elements are displayed. It allows for faster screen refreshes by replacing detailed data with simplified outlines. This feature is especially useful for large datasets like point clouds.

How to Toggle Drawing Density

  1. From the Project Menu:
Go to Project > Management > Toggle Drawing Density.

    • Use this to switch between full detail and simplified outlines.
  2. From the View Panel:
Adjust Drawing Density directly in the View settings:

    • None: Disables Drawing Density, showing all elements in full detail.
    • View: Uses settings from the View Drawing Density panel.
    • Global: Applies settings from the environment variables.

Examples

  • Drawing Density [View]: Shows data based on the View Drawing Density panel settings.

  • Drawing Density [None]: Displays all data in full detail.

By toggling Drawing Density, you can optimise performance while still accessing the detail you need.
