Special Text Characters
In 12d Model, special text characters that do not appear on a standard keyboard can be entered into text strings, vertex text, and segment text when using textstyles with true type fonts. These characters are input by holding down the Alt key and typing specific numeric codes on the number pad. The character will appear once the Alt key is released.
Below is a list of commonly used special characters and their corresponding Alt codes:
Character | Symbol | Alt Code |
---|---|---|
Squared | ² | Alt 0178 |
Cubed | ³ | Alt 0179 |
Middle Dot | · | Alt 0183 |
Large Diameter | Ø | Alt 0216 |

Copyright | © | Alt 0169 |
Registered Trademark | ® | Alt 0174 |

These Alt codes are derived from the Windows character map, which can be accessed by running the charmap utility on your computer. Note that the availability and appearance of these characters may vary depending on the true type font selected in your textstyle.
