1. Accessing ‘Same As’ from the Panel

Most choice boxes in 12d Model include a [Same As] option at the bottom of the list. For example:

  • To draft in the same colour as an existing line on the screen:
    1. Open the colour selection box.
    2. Scroll down and select [Same As]
    3. Click on the desired line in your view to match its colour.

This process applies to names, models, colours, line styles, and other attributes.

2. Using the Middle Mouse Button Shortcut

For an even faster method, you can use the middle mouse button (MB) to activate the ‘Same As‘ functionality directly:

  1. Click in the Field: Hover over the field (e.g., Model, Colour, View) where you want to apply the ‘Same As’ value and click the middle mouse button.
  2. Select from the View: Click on an object in your view, such as a string, plot frame, or line. The corresponding value (e.g., model name, colour) will automatically populate the field.
  3. Confirm the Selection: Press <Enter> to validate the field and trigger any associated actions.
